Pen & Ink
For Sarah's Pen & Ink collection, she uses a variety of fine point pens on high quality bristol paper. These detailed drawings take anywhere from a week to months at a time to complete, a meditative process as Sarah describes:
"I just get lost in these drawings. I loose track of time and my focus is invested solely in each piece in each moment. Time is never important, I thrive off the introspective and peaceful state I experience as I loose myself within each of these."
Sarah chooses a select few to also add color. " I love the monochromatic feel with the black and white, but it's so much fun to see how a drawing can completely transform with the addition of bright and bold colors. It gives each drawing a completely new energy and effect ."
